Wheel Rate and Damper Velocity 2

Wheel Rate and Damper Velocity 2

I attached a linear pot to the swingarm of a 05'Kawasaki KX250 MX bike, the other end to the subframe.

I am interested in damper velocity, but if I analyze the data direct, it will only give me the velocity and position of the point I mounted to on the swingarm.

Is it possible to 'trick' the sensor into thinking its located on the damper? The sensor has 150mm of stroke, only uses 120mm. The Damper has 132mm and the rear wheel has 300mm.

What I mean is if I tell the sensor it IS using 132mm of stroke for fullstroke. Will the velocity be correct for the damper?

Otherwise Im looking at creating an IF-THEN program to adjust the ratio as the rear wheel compresses.

I have determined the motio ratio for the linkage and it is NOT constant. Since i have 300mm of stroke, it changes from 3.1>>>1.9 depending on the position. PLEASE HELP.
