F.E.G.A.T. - F.E.G.A.T - CHAMPIONSHIPS - MEISTERSCHAFTEN 2007

How to organise FEGAT-Championships in the future...?

How to organise FEGAT-Championships in the future...?

How to organise Championships in the future...?

FEGAT counts 14 member-countries:

  1. Austria
  2. Belgium
  3. Czech. Rep.
  4. Denmark
  5. Finland
  6. Germany
  7. Holland
  8. Hungary
  9. Norway
  10. Russia
  11. Sweden
  12. Switzerland
  13. Ukraine
  14. France

This means that we have to organise in the near future FEGAT European Championships with 18! participants.

However, in most countries a maximum of 12 - 14 starters can participate in a race!

To organise eliminations in different areas is difficult and very expensive!

What is your opinion about this matter?
We are very happy for every good idea...

Dear trotting fans

It seems that we have a big club in Europe; Here is
how I see it. If you have 18 countries and each country must participate  5
races. You need 90 horses !!  or 5 x 18 drives. You can split the races and
have 7 race x  11 horses + 1 race x 13 horses = 90 .  Or 9 x 10 horses
= 90. You can also make the horses race 2 times on the same day. As long as you
have 90 drives for the amateurs; Of course, we also know that it is not easy and
a better way should be to have only 12 or 14 countries participating. Maybe
there is a way to give semi finals in 2 different countries.with 9 participant
only   and finals in another country on a later date in the year with the 5
best of the semi finals ?That would be really beautifull and fair for everybody.
The only problem would be the cost of travelling 2 times in the same year
for the EC. Maybe FEGAT could sponsor a little bit in that matter ?
Anyway, each country that wants to organise must take his responsability and try
to do the best.

Re: How to organise FEGAT-Championships in the future...?

Hello horselovers!

To organize a championship with 18 members and 12 starting horses in each race and giving every driver a chance to start 4 times you need 18 x 4 = 72 horses. If only 12 horses can start in each race it will take 72 : 12 = 6 races. That must be the most "fair" way to organize - if you start to make semifinals or some other way to pick up fewer participating countries FEGAT will loose a lot of its attractiveness! The possibility for drivers and officials to meet with all other members is important. Maybe there should be a close look at FEGAT EUROPE CUP in the future as it will be a lot to organize although this arrangement only takes place every second year.

Also müsste man – beispielsweise 4
Fahrer unterbringen will, müsste man mit Vorläufen und Halbfinale arbeiten, was
zur Folge hätte, das manche am 2. Tag zuschauen müssten, was nicht aktzeptabel wäre. />

gehen?

Re: How to organise FEGAT-Championships in the future...?

Presumably as “Marc de Soete” and “Indian chief” described in the forum above…
As example here the “ideal case” for Salzburg:
16 nations are at the start in Salzburg: Austria - Belgium - Czech. Rep. - Denmark - Finland - Germany - Holland - Hungary - Norway - Russia - Sweden - Switzerland - Ukraine - France - Spain - Italy
8 races with 12 starters needs = 96 horses
Each participant could start 6 times
6 times 16 participants = 96 starts
(This system is in such a way also described in the rules of the FEGAT!)
