Very good idea! Everyone of us good benefit from such a network - you never know what kind of questions might arise! Then, instead of spending much time on looking for an expert you could just look at the forum and get what you need;-)!
So I would like to start with the 'linkage'!
During the last year I've learned a lot about computer-corpus linguistics doing automatic statistical research on english and german corpora. Questions about textparsing in general (especially with SAX), usage and implementation of "finite state machines" (FSM), corpus retrieval and XML, information retrieval (IR) technics (e.g. Vector Space Modell, LSA) and also about everything concerning C/C++ are always welcome!
