Test versions of ToB Remake

Re: Test versions of ToB Remake

So, i told you "I'll be back" (Terminator like ). Now I'm back from moving to my new house and I'm going to continue the RToB !!!!!

*boing* *boing*

But currently there are some bugs I found in the "restart engine" handling, which has to be corrected first... But then I will build the "Main title" screen and put it together with the option screen... And then ...

Re: Test versions of ToB Remake

Good to have you back! Did everything work well with the move?
Hope you found a nice flat.

Re: Test versions of ToB Remake

And don't forget to take a look at those timing bugs, while you're at it!

... Hmm, I think I might go and put my towers in order and get everything ready for converting them for the RToB library...

Re: Test versions of ToB Remake

Oh, this reminds me of that Excel sheet I startet month ago. Completely forgot about that...
I guess I'll just post it as is right now. It's just a very basic overview, nothing rated or categorized yet. Feel free to add comments, ratings or new towers.

For those not familiar with Excel:
The file contains three "Arbeitsblätter" (work sheets?), each listing the towers posted by one person. (Since Exiter and me did a lot of towers together, I put all those to one sheet. Same with Artinum and his cousin.)
There's a column entitled "description and comments" that seems to be empty at first. Because the entries in this column are usually quite large, I put them in as comments only. You can read them by simply pointing at the cells with the mouse pointer, and edit them with the "edit comment" command from the context menu. Since most of us are IT guys anyway, I feel quite stupid writing this...

Just what was called for. Will add some input over the next few days.

Well, ok, perhaps a few next days more.

Re: Test versions of ToB Remake

Hrmpf. Excel can't get any sense out of that file of yours! I tried everything I could think of (which wasn't much, to be honest), so now I'm thinking of trying again come next week; perhaps the downloaded file was defective, or there's some new function which my antique version doesn't like or anything.

Re: Test versions of ToB Remake

Uh. How old exactly is your Excel? In other words, which version do you use??
I will post another file in your format. Currently it's Excel 2002.
But I do remember you mentioning OpenOffice. That should be able to cope with the file. Did you try that out?

Re: Test versions of ToB Remake

Hehe... Office for Windows 95...

(coughs)

The only version I got at home. I don't use it that much. I'm more the Wordish type of person.

(Edit, annotate: the version on this computer I'm using right now can cope with it all right. I must be my old version. Probably all those stickies and stuff. Sorry.)
