Highscore Savedisks

Highscore Savedisks

Hmm... a thought: how about uploading the safedisks with your highscores on it, i.e., the saved game position?
After all ToB supports import of highscores.

Re: Highscore Savedisks

It allows loading highscores, but to merge our highscores would require first loading a highscore-file from someone else, then loading a saved game and playing the final tower to enter you score to the list, and then save the list again. Or something like that...

I could, of course, create a list with all submitted scores and then post that as a diskfile.

But as I mentioned before, at least my score is not really meaningful...

Re: Highscore Savedisks

True. This doesn't really work. You could (I suppose) leave a tower in the very first group until the end!!

On a side note, which should probably be mentioned in another topic, how about a thingy for the remake which lets you replay completed towers? Just for fun, no extra points.

Artinum.

Re: Highscore Savedisks

Yes, this is definitely a must!! That was one of the weak spots of the original game. After playing 117 towers, I absolutely expect to be able to browse through all the towers and replay the most interesting ones, or just have another look at them.

Re: Highscore Savedisks

Looks like this has already been taken care of. Nice to see technical evolution at work.

But back to the Highscore list - when you enter View/Update Highscore from the main menu, you're given the option to load a saved game, i.e., a score. Right? I seem to recall you can load your saved game (in Load/Save Game), then put in another save disk and update the highscore list with that game.
Am I wrong? I'd like to try it. Savedisks, please!

Re: Highscore Savedisks

I replayed the whole game on the Atari version, so this won't be of any help to you.
And my 14-year-old score sucks............

Re: Highscore Savedisks

Looks like I'm wrong anyway. Highscore is not loaded automatically when loading a game, you have to manually update it...
