Galactica
Our dear Doctor Z has tried to convince me for months that the new Battlestar Galactica TV series is actually quite good. I usually trust his tips, but this time I remained sceptical. Today I watched the pilot episodes, and I have to admit I didn't regret it. It's interesting stuff, and the spaceship fights feel somewhat different to those seen on TV or in the movies yet. I still dislike fights with dozens of ships wildly scurrying around with a maximum gap of ten meters between them, but I guess there has to be some action. At least they put a little more emphasis on the laws of nature than most others. There's only important thing one might criticize: the new series doesn't have that wonderful seventies trash charme of the original. Some kind of parallel to the ToB history?!
P.S.: Does anyone (from the german guys) remember Galaktika vom fernen Stern Andromeda?? *gg*
