Ich halte mich an den Satz "it's the art, not the artist that counts" - sonst könnte ich mindestens meine halbe Albensammlung zum Kauf anbieten. |
Jon ist zur Zeit ein fleißiger Blogger. Was er da schreibt, klingt schon mehr als ein bisschen nach Abschied (Those days are Over), nach Rückblende voll positiver Gefühle einerseits und nach der Hoffnung, YESMusik werde von jungen Musikern weitergeführt.

hi......YES music people
hi..............YES music has always been very powerful to me, it changed my life, changed my way of thinking, helped my through some crazy yet amazing times, one thing it did do, made me a better human, and helped me realise my true spiritual state of mind....
The journey is endless, and zoooooooom here I am thinking about YES, trying to keep YES safe, for the millions of fans around the world...I am a fan, I believe in YES music.....simple as that......
When I sing ''And You and I'' with the guys, it's truly 'heaven'...imagine performing ''Awaken'' with lights and the crowd feeling the same energy we feel onstage, now that is truly unique in modern music...
I just performed 'Awaken' with the young teens from the 'Paul Green School of Rock', this last march...man, it was glorious, everyone who saw that show realised the power of modern music....just imagine, teens, girls and guys,on stage playing 'Awaken', and playing so beautiful , till I cried on stage, and Janeee in the audience cried, it was 'truth' .......YES music has survived...
I'm just going through a difficult time health wise, but it is a re-birth for me, Janee and my kids, friends and fans have been there for me, and understood..that Divine Mother is always there to help and guide us.....next year, there will be more YES music for everyone....for the next 30 years...
Maybe some young guns will 'get it', and create the next generation of YES music, I truly hope so...much love..jon..

YES fans like ME....
yo.......just dreaming YES music will be found again by so many young people out there,I've just been watching some YES DVD's from 6 years ago,35 year tour of Europe, I realized that the band 'still' play the 'game of adventure' through music...OK, the fans want to hear their favorite songs...and they are MY favorite songs as well, and YES deliver, but they played 'new' songs....still inventive, and with style, I feel so thankful and happy to have been a part of those days.....but ''Those days are Over', it's time to breath life again...maybe next summer, 'who knows'...
What will be the future of the Band.....not sure anymore...for a band to survive 40 years and more is tough .......
The music will survive, the CD's sound better than ever, the DVD's, most of them are good..some better than other's, but the memories last forever.........the great concerts, the shows that seem to have had the band in a 'spell' of sorts...as well as the fans...
The fans, thousand upon thousands, all around the 'rock' world, dancing and singing along, realizing us, and putting up with our constant adventuring, we were hell bent on trying different ideas, and most of the time it worked, remembering the touring with 'orchestra' the 'pick-up' orchestra's were the best, they wanted to play YES music...they had grown up with YES music...
Hearing Steve raving to my right, he plays an amazing guitar, very clear and constant, Chris, thundering around on stage, yet so delicate at times, so very musical...Alan grinning, rockin' and blasting the band into the sky, Rick almost perfect with that beautiful soundscape, and brilliant piano work...
Like I've said before, bands are very fragile ideas, they need attention, respect and 'love', they get pushed around by the outside elements, and this has always been the truth...but YES survived....see ya........jon.
Man kann vieles in diese Zeilen hinein interpretieren.
Wenn Jon jetzt die Möglichkeit hätte, dann würden sie bestimmt ein neues Album aufnehmen und auf Tour spielen. Das wäre was !!!
