There will be a prize to win but the challenge is in the brainsport itself. The forum is for anyone interested in exchanging and discussing conclusions and suggestions with others. Urs and I will look at them regularly but we can't deny or confirm any - someone has to mail us the complete solution.

Alright, so let's see!

Just read through the riddle and think that it is a pretty nice one!

Moreover I think that the cities looked for are Venice, Istanbul and Rome -

BUT:
looking at the thingy the letters are supposed to be set in...
confusion about the red field... "R" or "s" probably only one goes

or is it just a tricky construction this time and two letters maybe share a colour?

Anyway, there'll be a solution for it...

Re: DUET riddle Nr 3 - all guests and users welcome!

The Lady was all in protest about the colour problem. Apparently, it's different shades of red and reddish pink or pinkish red - or maybe printers are not all the same quality. But no letters share colours. Toenails, however, will sometimes do that. At least I've seen hers share colours...

Hi Me'anie,
You're right I think - I wish I read your post some time earlier. Besides I wasn't expecting to go online till Tuesday but the Easter hare has surprises for everyone and so here I am. Of the heroes Maximian is most obvious I think. All those gory details about the amputated foot I think are extraneous - besides that I'm unable to figure any other import for that one foot. The directions are clues or are they part of what needs to be found? Hmmm.

Should have stayed away from the riddle. But will do that just now - all I have to do is press this button here and I'm done. Hope you had a great Easter weekend and didn't miss too much sleep - I think I missed an hour yesterday. Cheers,
Dam

Re: DUET riddle Nr 3 - all guests and users welcome!

Sorry all of you, I have to lock this topic now - the riddle was solved 100% by someone who did not send in his solution by e-mail, and 99% by someone who never took the last step, probably thinking it was self-evident. You will understand that under the circumstances I cannot leave it open, and the prize can't go to anyone either.
Sorry... I can only hope that this won't happen again.
