Patch antenna of a bluetooth access point...? // Bi-quad antenna
Patch antenna of a bluetooth access point...? // Bi-quad antenna
I purchased a bluetooth access point for use with my pda (internet/mail access ). It´s a LAN-Bluetooth bridge.
Unfortunately the range isn´t very high, and the data rate decreases fast when the are one or two stone walls in the way. Ok, bluetooth technology isn´t designed for that.---
Hmm, i don´t like the internal antenna...
Perhaps i can build a bi-quad or something else...
Other suggestions...?
Greetings, Richard

a simple l/4 antenna... 0dmi
because the microstrip offer bad gain,,,,!!!

ps. new topic... great!!!
Re: Patch antenna of a bluetooth access point...? // Bi-quad antenna
I build a bi-quad for my bluetooth device (class 2), of course it works much better
Instead of showing the picture of my antenna, i show an artice of ´Rothammels Antennenbuch´. It delivers much more interesting details about the antenna, but... only in german, sorry. For those who want to build such an antenna, you can find wlan-bi-quads 1001 times in the internet...
